Well we all remember how it was when we ate our first sundae.  My first was a hot fudge sundae at a little place called Betsy Ross on Foothill Blvd.   Each of us kids ordered a hot Fudge sundae.  When the waitress came (dressed like Betsy Ross herself)  She served the sundae on in a stainless steel boat shaped bowl, inside were 3 scoops of ice cream, 2 vanilla and one chocolate,  one top of that was whipped cream topped with nuts, and of couse a cherry on top.  Now you are asking what about the hot fudge...well the hot fudge was placed next to each sundae in a small stainless steel creamer.  So you could pour at your own discretion and of course drink the hot fudge sauce straight from the cup.  We were in heaven.  I'd love to hear your stories of hot fudge sundaes, and banana splits.
